Notes

Well, OK, this is going to be a cheat. Two entries in one. Just 'cause I can't find any other way to do it.

I'll start off with Sunday night, since that's where I left off... I got up late, had to rush around but I was only 15 minutes late for work... pretty good, actually.

And I ran for three or four hours, but things settled down by about 01:00 and I was able to eat lunch for the first time in three shifts.

The tech that normally comes in at 07:00 came in at 06:30 to relieve me, and Karen picked me up at 06:40 and we headed over to Stormont-Vail, the "Other Hospital"

We went through the registration process with no problems, and I was soon dressed in a hospital gown waiting for my blood work to get done and for the IV therapy nurse to do their thing.

The phlebotomist was pretty good; one stick and she was done. Unfortunately, the IV therapy guy took three sticks to get into a vein. I must've made him nervous or something.

Then on to the special procedures room, where I got shaved and prepped and draped. Got the procedure started and found...

Essentially no change from the last time, after the stents were put in. Nothing to fix, dammit.

There were some lesions, but none of the pressure gradients were significant at all. Certainly not enough to produce my symptoms.

I am very disappointed. I wanted to be cured, and here I am not even diseased.

So, what is the deal? Dear Mom says that my legs are just old, and that I work too hard.... I agree with part of that.

I'm also wondering if a major part of it isn't in my head.

I hate thinking like that, but the evidence... well, it's not the arterial supply, so what else could it be?

One possibility is that the arteries are spasming. That wouldn't show up on the aortagram unless they were spasming at the time, and they obviously weren't.

I'm baffled. Completely.

I guess that I'd better go see my GP and hopefully he will have some other ideas. After all, that's what I pay him for...

Anyway, after the angiogram yesterday, they fed me a pretty good meal while I was waiting to get dismissed, then we came home and I went to bed. I was kinda wanting to get up about 21:00 or so, but I slept until 01:00 anyway, and now here I am. I need to stay up until 09:00 and get some sleep then so I can go back in tonight at 19:00.

I'm going to pretend that my legs don't hurt at all and see what happens.

Thanx for being here!
