Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

Well, the attitude was slightly better... not by much, though. Last night was a very slow one, and, unfortunately, I had time to think about how much my rashy places hurt and itched.

I just keep getting more and more little bumps in out-of-the-way places, and it makes no sense whatsoever, and I'm getting more and more confused about it.

Someone asked me, "have you changed soap or laundry detergent lately?" and I remembered that Mom had washed a load of clothes for me in Enid... but that made no sense, 'cause then I'd have my rash where my clothes are, not where they aren't.

The doctor who was on in the ED said that I probably needed oral steroids, but he wanted a list of my meds, and I couldn't remember what all I'm on... my memory for my meds has always been really bad, that's why I carry a list around. Only the last time that I updated it was in November 1997...

So I now have a new list of meds in my billfold and in my briefcase... I'll get some steroids tonight.

In the meantime, I bought some cortisone ointment, hoping that'll do the trick. Only I know that it won't last through my sleep period, it'll at least let me get to sleep. I woke up last evening with blood and scabs under my fingernails... is that disgusting or what?

Speaking of disgusting... there are some local churches and non-profit organizations that are asking to be excused from sales tax on bingo supplies... because the gambling joints are running them out of business. I do believe that the legislature is going to do the right thing and ignore them.

They just have to do a better job of selling their stupid bingo games, and they sure as hell better not start taking my tax money to support their nefarious services. They never paid any taxes when they were the only gambling game in town, after all... and paying taxes is how you support communities.

More tomorrow...

Thanx for being here!
