Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

Yup.

Back one night, and the feet hurt and the legs hurt. I liked vacation a lot better. O'well.

The new machinery wasn't very fantastic, or very hard to figger out. Just a newer version of what we had... and now all of the old technology is gone... the film/screen/processor stuff. Digital, with dry laser prints.

And my rashes hurt, and itch. Bunches. But I did get a good hint of where I might have gotten it...

Here in Kansas, they burn the pastures almost every year. When they do that, the ashes go everywhere. They had been burning on the day before I came back from Oklahoma, and they had been burning places that had poison ivy/oak/whatever. Since I was driving with my windows down, some of that stuff got on me. Dammit.

That makes more sense than any other scenario, since I certainly haven't contacted any of those nasty plants, or even spent any time in uncivilized areas... and yes, I do know what those plants look like.

Anyway, back to work.

You know, back in the good old days, when they found a drunk on the street or in a ditch, unresponsive, they carried him off to jail and put him in the drunk tank. You know what they do now? Right. They bring him to the hospital, and I do all kinds of x-rays and CT scans to see if there is maybe something else the matter with him besides being drunk.

That's my money and your money being wasted, folks. And why? Because there are too many lawyers, that's why. Because one drunk in a hundred will fall down and actually hurt himself.

And when he sobers up he'll find a lawyer to prosecute whoever didn't treat him right.

Skipping around a little bit here...

Karen and I were discussing something pertaining to the way certain relatives treat other relatives. Not my relatives, hers... well, they're mine, too, but...

I said something to the effect that some day they'll be sorry, and Karen told me, "It's not fun to get revenge on people that you love". And, of course, that's very true, but I'd never really thought about it.

OK, it's bedtime... I didn't get nearly enough sleep yesterday, so I need to make up for it today.

Thanx for being here!
