All Right!
I'm not gonna put on a pair of shoes for three weeks. I'm not gonna have to smell blood or vomit for three weeks... I hope, anyway.
I'm not gonna think about work for three weeks, either.
When I was a kid down in Enid, there was a used record store across from the Enid News and Daily Eagle, where Mom worked. I would go through the used 45's, hoping to find something that I recognized and liked, but I seldom did. One of the records that I really wanted was "The Wayward Wind" and another was "The Moonlight Gambler". Now, thanks to Napster, I have both of them. 435 years late, but I have them. And they don't sound nearly as good as I remembered them sounding...
I've been tipped off to another way of "sharing" files on the web... imesh.com. it has a search engine that you use, and it will download files in pieces from multiple sites and put them together, so it's much faster if a file has more than one source available.
However, it doesn't let you go through lists of other people's files the way Napster does, or at least I haven't found that yet... but I just started using it this morning. I'm not impressed with the search engine, either.
I was kinda planning on being ambitious this morning, having another pot of coffee and starting on some chores, but I'm gonna pass on that and goof off until noon, then take a nap. Karen is supposed to waken me when she gets home, so I can get turned around...
Some of my projects: I'm gonna build a shelf-clothes-hanger type thing over the dryer. I'm gonna build a shelf (with lights) under the computer desk and keep the secondary machines under there. I'm gonna finish the drywall in the kitchen. I'm gonna paint the trim on the outside of the house. I'm gonna do some yard work. I'm gonna go fishing.
Not necessarily in that order, you understand. The fishing might just have a higher priority tomorrow, when the temp will be in the 70's with no wind. It's supposed to get to 80 today, but with southerly winds up to 35MPH... not good for fishing.
So... more tomorrow...
