Well, damn. I thought that Thursday night was bad at work, but last night was much worse. When I got home (an hour late) my shoes felt like they had been glued onto my feet.
I got a lot of nice letters and cards yesterday, I want to thank you all a lot, for reading and just for being nice people.
I think that's why I have so few regular readers... only the nice people read Nilknarf, and there are so damned few of us...
Karen and Lacee are going to Wichita... Karen's brother and his wife have flown in from Phoenix to see Betty for her birthday, which was last week. For some reason or another, they always seem to come on the weeks when I'm working...
Anyway, back to work last night... I didn't get a break from about 01:00 until 07:30. Nothing really major, as far as life-threatening injuries, but we had three kids come in who had been drinking and driving a little too fast on a dirt road. None of them wearing seat belts, of course. They got pretty lucky... all of them walked out, after I'd x-rayed every bone in their little drunken bodies...
Dammit, I've got to do the directory and the index for April... 'cause March is over. One of those little chores...
