My host service, LiquidWeb, was off the air yesterday from about 15:00 on until sometime late this morning... so yesterday's entry was just now posted.
I got an apologetic email from them, saying that the Qwest people, their upstream provider, had a router go out again, and would not give them a sufficient reason why it happened or any assurance that it wouldn't happen again... so they switched to a different company. MCI... I hope that they do better. All of my mail, in addition to the hosting service, goes through them.
I made it to bed about 02:00 this morning, and I didn't get up until 13:30, so I did get enough sleep to make it until tomorrow when I get off tomorrow morning, provided they don't work me too hard tonight...
When I went to bed last night, I turned on the CPAP machine and it started squealing... bearing gone out on the damned thing. So I need to get in there this afternoon and get it replaced. And I want to go shoe shopping again... I really need some good work shoes. The place I went to yesterday got me discouraged, though... I think that I'll go to a more expensive place today.
Gloomy-lookin' day here. Supposed to get rain tonight and for the next few days, I think.

As I said before, I'm getting lots and lots of hits on my
Napster page... so I put a little blurb there about on-line journals... and I'm getting quite a few hits from that! So maybe I can help the on-line journal community out by getting them (and me, natch) more publicity.
I just wish that were worth something... but it really isn't.

Also, my fourth anniversary here is coming up... yep, going into the fifth year of this journal... I'm wondering how I should commemorate this event. Probably it would be best to just ignore it, heh...
I had thought about doing a site re-design, but I really kinda like it the way that it is... plus I don't really have any good ideas on how to improve it. If any of you have some ideas that you'd like to share, of just a general critique on the site as it is, I'd love to hear from you...
Raining now... but the weekend is supposed to be nice. Of course, I'll be working... I'm not due to get sick until I'm on vacation... unless the weather is crummy then, in that case I'll be OK.
Well, OK, I guess that I need to get some other stuff going before I go to work, so I'll close this out now... more in the morning.
Well, I didn't get much done... just went to Walgreens and got some drugs and then I paid all of the bills. I need to get a service where I pay my bills on-line... that would be so much faster and easier... but I really don't want to give up my checking account at the credit union... those people have been really nice to me... like taking out of my savings instead of bouncing a check when I screw up. That's nice, and not likely to be found in a on-line service.
