Well, crap and double-crap!
We had a train wreck right here in Topeka... and I missed it! Yep, I was out on the deck about 03:00 yesterday morning and I heard a lot of sirens... I didn't really check the news or anything, though... then, when I got up at 18:30, Karen told me about it.
No fatalities, in fact, just mainly bumps and bruises. All of the patients that we had walked out, but there was one admitted to the other hospital with "internal injuries" but the gossip was that it was a coronary.
About 45 people injured... not bad for a train wreck.
We had one here several years ago, and I missed that one too... we only got one patient from it... it was two freight trains, the engineers were killed and we got the guy who was on the back of one of the trains, I think.
Anyway, last night wasn't too bad... the evening crew was still cleaning up what the day crew had left for them... about half of the people left early, because they were called in for the wreck, so the day crew was really short.
Enough about work... I wanta talk about how tired I am and how much my feet hurt... wait, no I don't.
I want to talk about how messed up my network is. I think that the problem is in the main computer, and I've been trying to fix it by working on the others... plus, I'm beginning to suspect my network hub. So I got the old one out and I'm working with it now.
What I need to do is voluntarily re-format my hard drive and start over. Up until now, I've had to do that every few months anyway, when I mess something up. I haven't messed anything up lately, though... not enough to justify a reformat.
So, I'm gonna fool around for a few more minutes, then head for bed... more tomorrow!
