Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

We didn't really get that much done today, but we did do a lot. Yeah, that sounds like we're confused, or at least like I'm confused...

Paperwork. That's what we did. Went through stacks and stacks of paper and threw most of it out. Then I got the checkbook caught up and entered in Quicken and then... and then... I worked on the taxes.

The taxes took maybe five hours, start to finish. I don't know why I put them off so damned long... well, yes I do. I hate doing them.

I pay too much for taxes. They say that you get the government that you deserve, but I want the government that I pay for. I mean, like, I'm paying for a frickin' Rolls-Royce here but I'm getting a Yugo.

We're getting back from the Feds, but paying the state. All in all, not bad, I guess... but I still hate it.

And I hate that McCain is out of the running. I think that I would have, for the first time in my life, voted for a Republican for prez.

Bush scares me. He's a bumbling fool.

Gore scares me. He's a smoother fool, and most probably a loon, too. Scratch that, he's fer sure a loon.

I want Clinton to stay on another four years. They are both that scary.

OK, enuff politics and stuff like that. I'm now solidly in 30th place on the alt2600 SETI team, with 356 Work Units and 1.91 years of processing time... not that that's any great accomplishment, but what else do I have?

Well, I do have today... I got to spend the day with Karen, and it was very nice. We have fun together, it seems, no matter what we're doing.

Well, I guess I'll go spend some time on usenet, laughing at the trolls... more tomorrow.

Thanx for being here!
