Lately, I have been driven by greed, and slowed down by depression.
Greed... getting stuff for free. Songs, programs. It seems like that's about all that I do.
A coupla months ago I stopped taking the Prozac. I had been meaning to watch myself, but that's impossible to do... that's why we have family and friends. Anyway, brother Dan wrote me today, saying that I had seemed depressed lately.
Well, I hadn't even thought of that... going off of the Prozac, I mean. But, thinking about it, yeah, that's definitely what's happening. So I've ordered the Prozac, but I'm going to check with the doc tomorrow for something different. I really want to get out of the doldrums that I've been living in lately.
I'm not really miserable... it's just that nothing seems to be worthwhile. I could care less about getting anything done... like finishing the kitchen... a thousand other things that need doing around here...
Anyway...
Karen and I were both rooting for the Rams, but she decided to turncoat during the half-time show, for some reason or another. She screwed up, heh.
Interestingly, according to the Ram's QB, it was god that let them win. Also interestingly, the other QB definitely didn't say that it was god that made them lose. I don't think that he even mentioned god at all. He must be mad at god, 'cause if he would've been on the winning team he would've given god all of the credit. Conversely, god need to get the blame for his team losing, right?
Jeez, it must be tough being god... you got half of the world pissed at you, and over a stinkin' football game! Now, normally, back in the old days, those guys that were cursing you under their breaths, well, you could just burn them to a crisp, along with their families... but now it's necessary to be kinder, gentler... you just
As I mentioned yesterday, I feel no loyalty towards either team. St Louis is, of course, slightly closer than Tennessee. But... those guys are REALLY from LA, which is further away. And the Tennessee guys are REALLY from Houston, which is further away than Tennessee, too.
Actually, I don't feel much loyalty to the Chiefs, either, though they're really close. It's pretty stupid for anyone to feel loyal to any professional team in any sport... those guys will go where the money is... they have no locational loyalty... and neither do the teams as a whole. Like the Rams... or the Titans. The Chiefs started out in Dallas, after all.
Colleges are pretty much in the same boat, as far as personnel goes... their coaches and players are held only by money... well, the players, not directly, but they choose their schools for what they can get out of them, not because dad and grandpa went there...
Nope, you gotta watch sports for the entertainment value.
And this year's Super Bowl was entertaining.
More tomorrow...
Karen made stuffed cabbage for supper... excellent. We ate during the half-time of the super bowl, which was a fine example of a ball game. Excitement right up to the end. I enjoyed it, and the team that I picked to win... well, they won.
have to wait until they get to hell naturally. THEN they'll really get it. A lot easier and more cost-effecient than expending lightning bolts, selectively, on half of the people who watched the game...
