Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

Sunday, 16 January 2000...
Got up late. About 10:30... read the paper, made coffee. Not in that order, of course.

I'd kinda decided that, with the cable modem coming in, that I will run WIN2000 on the Linux machine for a while, so I piddled with that for most of the afternoon. I had a helluva time getting the Linux file system off of the disk, though, I couldn't do it with fdisk, I had to get out Partition Magic. Then I had to install WIN98, then WIN2000.

I was fiddling with the network settings when Karen got home... I had thought that she was staying until Monday, but I was wrong.

I was very happy to see her. She didn't act very happy to see me, though. Women hold grudges... even though we were neither of us faultless, I'll have forgotten about next week... she'll remember it all of her life.

O'well.

Anyway, I got the 2000 system running just fine... it's on a 166 Pentium, and rather slow, but I've got 80MB in the machine, and that helps some.

I didn't get to bed until about 00:30, though.

Thanx for being here!
