Notes

And I did sleep well today... six hours' worth, anyway. Which is pretty good for a Wednesday...

JD just left, going back to Texas via Oklahoma and Enid. Well, it's really hard to get to Texas from Kansas without hitting Oklahoma, but he'll be stopping in Enid to see Mom... I hope that they have a good visit... I'm sure that they will.

Many many thanx to John, who snagged my entry of the third from the bowels of his machine and sent it to me! In the midst of my computer problems, I had overwritten the file before I saved it...

And speaking of my computer problems... they were all Windows98-related... the Linux system had nothing to do with it for a change.

And, speaking of Linux... I've finally got it going! Yes, the machine is browsable both ways! I still haven't quite got the hang of getting it on the web, though... that's the next part of the solution. I had it there once before, though... but entirely by accident. When I get it figgered out this time, it'll stay figgered out.

I really hated to see JD going back to Texas... I miss him a lot. We did have a good time while he was here. Now I can apply all of my energy to seeing that Tyler gets a job and straightens up and flies right... Tyler hated to see JD go, too, for this and for the obvious reasons.

So, it's back to work for me. I talked to my counterpart Tuesday night, just to make sure that she was covering last night. She told me that the work-load continued to be horrible, and that much of the equipment was down... so I've got something to look forward to. I do only have six nights to work this cycle, though.

And I'm thinking I'm gonna take another stab at not smoking... going for ten days, not eight. If I do, I won't start until Sunday. JD smokes, so I couldn't really try while he was here. He mentioned to me that he was thinking about quitting, so maybe I can be a good example for him... or him for me. Tyler seems to be able to take them or leave them, depending on his financial condition.

More in the morning....

Thanx for being here!
