Finally! A half-way decent night... well-deserved, I must add, since no one else will. I never had to get above a trot all night.
It's nice to get off work and not have to come right home and shower and go to bed. I usually shower after I awaken, but lately I've sweated so much at work that I can't go to bed without showering.
On the other hand, the ravages of the prior four nights have taken a toll on my body that won't be mended with just one good night... I need three more! In a row!
A little amusement... last week, Karen and I went out shopping for something, I can't remember what or where... but I was looking at some houseshoes, since mine have a hole in the right one, and my little toe hangs out... a cat chewed on it... but otherwise, they're just fine houseshoes... anyway, I saw some that I liked, and Karen told me not to but them. After a slight hassle, she told me that she had bought me some.
So, I insisted that she give them to me when we got home, and, being the wonderful woman that she is, she consented.
The damned things are marked size 12, but they're maybe 10.5 .... wouldn't fit at all. But Tyler liked them, and they fit him, so he got a new pair of houseshoes. In fact, he said that he'd never had a pair before.
I like the moccasin-style, and a cheap pair will last me three or four years, or, on one notable occasion, ten years...
So anyway, Kim gets me a pair for xmas, probably with Karen's help... and they're marked 12. And they're maybe size 11. So I'm still wearing my holy ones, and I really doubt that anyone else will buy me a pair, I'll have to go out and get them myself. Or maybe I'll just duct tape the ones that I have... I really like them...
And I've put my xmas tree earring away for another year... it's finally over. As is this entry...
