Long day, and mostly boring. Made chili, cleaned the kitchen, did some other piddly stuff. My back was much better earlier, but it's deteriorated quite nicely.
After supper, I was filling the ice trays and the pain knocked me to my knees... I really shouldn't twist like that.
Didn't spill anything, anyway...
Karen and I were sitting down eating a bowl of chili (damn good chili, even if I do say so myself..) and the door opens and in comes.. Tyler!
It was awfully good to see him again.
We had a short, sincere talk shortly after he arrived... about how things were gonna be. I think... I hope... that it'll work out. We'll see.
So we moved his machine (the WIN2K one) back downstairs. And I'm having more trouble with the Linux system... I can't remember how I got the network running before, and I can't get it going now! I feel so stupid... but that's OK. I'll remember and then I'll write it down.
Damned thing doesn't want to recognize the ethernet card now. It liked it just OK before.
reminds me of a signature tagline on someone's email... "Sure Linux is user-friendly... it's just particular about its friends. And friends sometimes fight..."
Enough.
