The BIG NEWS for today...
Several months ago, we were forced to use plastic eating utensils, because the food service company was losing too many of their cheap knives, forks and spoons.
Well, no one would really come out and say that the night shift staff was stealing the goods... but it was amply implied.
But about a week ago, there they were... real metal (but really cheap) flatware! So, obviously, the pilferage must've not lessened any, so they gave it up. Oh, and an apology? For the implication that we would steal their... stuff? Not likely.
On a sourer note... I got three hours of sleep yesterday. Crummy. And then last night was boring, again. Hard, hard job to stay awake. And even right now... but right now, it's not really necessary anymore, and I will give it up....
We (the night shift staff) are allowed, once again, to eat with REAL METAL UTENSILS! And we are all so happy...
