We got back from Wichita last night... everything's going to be OK with Betty, for the time being, at least. I haven't even started the entries for Thursday or Friday yet, but when I get them up I'll let you know...
Pretty lazy day, for me. I went to bed early last night, and slept about 12 hours again. I think that I'm still getting over being sick, or something.
Lacee and Patrick woke us up this morning... Lacee stayed here while Patrick and Kim went to his soccer game, then Karen took Lacee to hers. The kids both get a big kick out of playing, and they're both pretty good at it, according to Grandma Karen... of course, according to Grandma Karen, they're the best at everything that they do.
Actually, Grampa Doug feels that way most of the time too.
I started on the wiring of the front wall today, and I had to quit after not being able to find a part that I know that I have somewhere in the basement. I'm really tired of being so disorganized. It really costs me a lot of time, 'cause I'm so pigheaded that I will continue wasting time trying to find a fifty-cent part instead of going out and buying it... dammit, I know that I have it, I just need to find it... arrgh!
The wiring in this old house is so screwed up... I'm just patching on to what was already there, instead of re-wiring it, the way that I should, but that's just too much for me to contemplate right now. There is one circuit that is running the entire front wall, plus the hallway and the attic fan and the south wall of the living room. Way too much... and I'm putting more on it. With my fingers crossed...
I also replaced the battery in my Timex data-link watch... but now I can't get it to DL stuff from the computer. I've wasted more than an hour working on that. I need to find the original software... which is probably somewhere in the basement.
Well, damn! The wiring is more screwed up than I thought it was. The circuit that I tied in to isn't even connected... but I know that it was at one time. So I either need to disconnect it completely and start over, or maybe just run another circuit... or try to figger out what is really the problem. The middle way might just be the easiest. Damn wires...
OK, it's bedtime already. Karen just talked to Debbie, and Betty is doing great today again... very, very strange.
More tomorrow... and maybe some of yesterday, too.
