Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

Karen and I were dreading the day... sure that Betty had regressed during the night. But there were no phone calls from the assisted living place, and that was good.

Debbie had lots of errands that she needed to get done, so we kinda made arrangements to meet her at Betty's sometime after lunch. Karen wanted to get Betty a CD player and some CDs, since she loves music so much, and I was sure that there was a Best Buy close... but I was wrong, or at least I couldn't find it. We drove around quite a bit and found a Target store, and went in and bought a simple CD Player and six jazz CDs. Betty was very pleased with everything when we finally got there.

And she continues to be lucid, amazingly. She is 86 years old, but her mind and memory seem to be pretty sound at this point. I continue to wonder about her diagnosis...

Or maybe ativan is the cure for Alzheimers? Hell, I dunno.

I'm just really happy that she's doing so well.

We left late in the afternoon, and got back to Topeka about 17:30 or so. Karen drove most of the way, I was having stomach problems again, dammit. I went to bed about 20:00 and slept most of the night...

Thanx for being here!
