Little cheating on the date, there... it's really 00:46 on Monday...
Long day, pretty nice day, didn't get a whole lot done, due to extreme soreness of the corporeal structure. So we had an excuse to enjoy another beautiful day, without the guilt of not getting a lot done. The best of all worlds. I did get the pump pulled out of the hot tub, though, and disassembled partly.
Beautiful weather here, supposed to last a while. At least 'til I go back to work. I should go fishing, but I'm just really not very enthusiastic about it... it seems like too much work. Am I getting lazy, or what? I'm just not very enthusiastic about it any more, that's all. I feel like that is somehow sinful... my love of fishing is gone.
Have I reached another of those points in my life where everything changes again? Dammit, I hope not... I was just getting into a groove... but there are other things now that interest me more than fishing. Most of those things are dependent on me sitting here in front of this damned computer.
My real life is eroding... my virtual life is more interesting than catching a largemouth bass on a beautiful fall day. How did this happen? When did it happen? Do I like it?
Yeah, that's the real question... do I like it. Right now, I don't know.
I've always known that I wouldn't live long enough to do as much of everything that I loved doing enough. What a convoluted sentence. Life is too short, and I keep finding more and more interesting things to do to occupy my time... things that I love doing.
For instance, warez. Or, more recently, Napster. Sharing music. There is a definite lack of the kind of music that I love out there, and I can help fill that gap, anyway. Tyler showed me how to make MP3s from my old vinyl, so as soon as I can get a cord, I'm gonna start doing that, more grist for the mill...
And I need to go to work tomorrow for a while, to learn to use the new CT machine. I was thinking of going in at 07:00, but it's after 01:00 now, so I'll probably go in at 10:00 or so... shouldn't take me more than three of four hours. The actual machinery is the same as the old one, but the system is run by a windows-like system, and from the playing that I did with it last week, it's going to be a lot easier to learn than the old one was.
Anyways, it time for me to get my butt to bed. More tomorrow...
