Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

Last night was slightly busier, but still not too bad. It looked like it was going to get worst about the time I was leaving, though, with three ambulances in the ambulance bay... I hung around a while to see, but there were three people there at 07:00 so I left anyway.

I came home and found that Karen's car was still here... I tried the door and it was still locked.

This scared me. Normally, I call Karen between 06:00 and 06:30, but she hadn't answered today. Well, that's not all that unusual, but she wasn't even out of bed and it was almost 08:00? I had a vision of finding her dead in bed.

I normally don't worry about Karen's health... she's as healthy as the proverbial horse. But things happen sometimes...

She was in bed with a headache, and I was relieved. I'm sorry that she had a headache, of course, but so glad that she wasn't dead...

She'd taken a pill when she felt one coming on in the middle of the night, and then another pill after the first one didn't work. She was feeling somewhat better by the time I got home, and wanted to go to work.

I'd promised Tod that I'd burn a disk for him, and he arrived shortly before it was done. After he's left, Karen got up, and she had a long scratch on her chin that was bleeding pretty good. It seems that the monster cat had tried to jump up on the headboard and missed, landing on Karen's face.

I went to bed as she was staunching the flow of blood and muttering stuff about cats in general that she normally wouldn't say... I was glad that she was feeling better.

And I awoke shortly before noon, and it's a beautiful day... one of the last that we'll have for a while. Supposed to get cold, and rain some more. And I really want to stay up, but I know that I can't, dammit.

More tomorrow...

Thanx for being here!
