Natterings, Notions
and
Notes

I was pretty much determined when I woke up this morning that this was going to be a better day... and by golly, it was!

Makes me wonder about my brain. But then, damn near everything makes me wonder about my brain...

I think that what happened was that it all came down on me Friday and yesterday and my body was telling me to rest. It does that a lot... but then there goes my damned brain again, telling me not to... things to get done, crap like that.

Brian was here this weekend, as were all of the other grandkids. Brian and Drew stayed overnight, and that little drew is so cute... I can really get under his skin, I'll get him mad at me and then get him to giggling the next minute. He's really fun.

And then there's Lacee. Kim and the kids came over just after Karen and I got back from taking Brian home to Lawrence, and they had a bike for Lacee... grampa got to put it together for her. Grampa did so gladly, just to see the smile light up her face.

Damn, I'm dangerous around pretty girls. Spoil them rotten, I do. Luckily, there are way too many people out in this world that will set them straight, so I don't really need to worry about it, do I?

And Patrick and Brian are pretty damned cute, too. What can I say, I love them all.

However, all and all, and when all's said and done... we had too many damned kids around this weekend. Even singly, they make me nervous... but I can stand it. It's quite a bit easier since Karen got her computer... all of the games are on it, and it keeps them mostly occupied. And I still enjoy having them around, even if it does make me somewhat crazy... it's a fun crazy, if you know what I mean...

Well, OK, I don't really know what I mean, but I said it and I'll stand by it.

Raining. Nice thunderstorm. Instead of rating thunderstorms "heavy" and "severe" they should say "neat" and "REALLY NEAT!"

After it had started raining, I remembered seeing that the drainpipes were lying on the ground... a common occurance after the kids have been here... if I would put them up too firmly they would break instead of just falling down... anyway, I literally had to push Tyler out the door to get him to put them aright. But, after all, he lives in the basement, his stuff would be getting wet...

And... I don't like getting wet. And it's a cold rain... and after all, what're kids good for anyway if we can't make them do things that we don't want to do? Heh.

More tomorrow...

Thanx for being here!
