More computer woes... imagine that!
My main machine is staying up now, though. It's just the internet connection sharing that keeps going to hell now. Karen's machine was working this morning just fine, and she went out shopping. Pretty soon, I decided to download an Elvis theme and put on her machine to surprise her.
She was well pleased with the Elvis theme... but her internet connectivity was, once again, not working. So I went downstairs and checked Tyler's machine, and it wouldn't connect either.
So, it's the main machine. But, dammit, I didn't DO anything to it! It broke itself... again. This time, however, the software is all there where it's supposed to be.
So what I'll do is uninstall it and reinstall it. And then it'll work again until the next time, and I still won't know what's the matter with the damned thing.
I spent quite a while trying to get the TV card to work today too. Still a no-go on that. When I try to use it, it tells me that the card is in use by another program, shut that other program off and try again. Of course, I'm doing no such thing. But it goes into the corner of the video chip and pouts and won't speak to me again until I reboot... at which time I get the same message. Boring and frustrating.
And I can't play CDs on my machine. Worked fruitlessly on that quite a while, too. My brain is pretty well done tonight.
I did get about ten hours of sleep last night, though. I'm happy about that... and we're off to Wichita tomorrow, then on to Enid. I'll probably update from Enid, but that's not a promise. We should be back on Saturday, so I'll have some entries up by Sunday.
Right now, I'm gonna cut my hair and take a shower and go to bed...
