Well, damn.
Sleep study was still pretty inconclusive. Good news: the ekg tracing was steady all night... no PVCs. This is most likely due to the change in medications three weeks ago.
More good news: most of my awakenings were caused by leg movements. I will be taking medications of a type used for Parkinson's disease for this, the doc is confident that this will take care of that. The dosage is quite a bit less than used for Parkinson's, and the problem is in no way related to parkinson's, but the medication seems to work.
The bad news: I don't feel a whole lot better after a night on the C-PAP. This could be due to my feeling crummy with the bronchitis, however. The doc wants me to rent a C-PAP machine for a month and see how I feel at the end of that time.
As I said before, I was really hoping for a cure for everything that ails me, and it just ain't gonna happen. On the other hand, what would I have to bitch about if I got all cured?
Geez, that was silly... there is still the world, after all.
I think that I will be utterly optimistic about it, and assume that it will relieve at least the chronic fatigue that I seem to suffer from.
Potential reinstitution of a social life... Karen and I are going out with an old friend of mine, Ginny, and her husband Bob. (This is her third husband named Bob...) They are in the latter stages of completion of building a house on Perry lake, and I'm anxious to see how they've done. They've been working on it for two years now, first living in a mobile home on the 40-acre lot, then moving into the unfinished place last year sometime. They both work fulltime, up to 60 hours per week... they probably don't have a whole lot of energy left over.
In other news... I've got the charger on the battery in the Caddy and I've re-instated the insurance... we're going to drive it a coupla weeks, see if it holds up, then probably sell it. Several people that I've talked to have said that there is a good possibility that the engine wasn't majorly damaged, and that the aluminum filler stuff that is normally used in the radiators could have very well repaired what damage there might have been. Well, we'll see about that. If it works for a coupla weeks, I won't feel bad about selling it to someone.
Gonna be a hot one today, 88F and humidity in the low 80s. My next task is hooking up the AC. We've been pretty lucky this year so far, not having had to run it yet, but our time is up, I'm afraid.
Once I get the AC going, I'm going to work on the computer room, get stuff organized and put away and re-arranged and all that stuff. But first, I'm gonna go get my 'script filled and rent the C-PAP machine.
More later, most likely...
