I thought that it was going to be three horrible nights in a row, but things settled down around 01:30; the remainder of the night was pretty easy.

No shootings or stabbings.

Lots of medical problems, though. I spent about three hours after the evening tech left doing one stat exam after another... at one time, I had five stat calls within ten minutes.

And then, while everything was going on, I had a piece of equipment go down for lack of chemistry. And there was none to be found...

I'd told the ER secretary that I was having equipment problems, but I don't think that she passed the word along. So they were waiting for me to show up, and getting worried... but none of them wanted to go chesk the department, to see if I'd had a coronary and died... fine buncha friends, heh.

I finally got some chemistry from Central Stores and got caught up. Then I got my paperwork caught up, too. First time for that this week...

And now I'm going to bed. My ISP is down, probably due to lightning (we had a really cool storm last night... and I missed it!) so I can't get this up anyway. I'll do it tonight.

18:03...
Well, it's not my iSP that down, it's the phone line. And they say they'll have it fixed by 17:00 tomorrow. So, for a change, I really am writing into the void.

Good sleep today. It was cloudy, partly rainy, and I hope that the people were not out in droves hurting themselves. I'm ready for a light night at work. Having said that, I realize that there is no way. The third day of a three-day weekend is usually pretty bad.

We have limbs down from the wind last night, knocked part of the back gutter down. More storms on the way tonight, they say. 's OK, we have plenty more limbs on our trees...

Time for a shower and work. More tomorrow...

Thanx for being here!
