Seventeen hours at the hospital... and I only get paid for twelve.

Stress test cardiolite study went pretty well. Some stuff on the images that may need further evaluation... like another heart cath. Rhythms and everything sorta OK, or at least consistent with what I've had in the past.

I was supposed to see Dr Meyer, my cardiologist, at 16:00, but he knew that I was working tonight and got me in after the treadmill part and before the second imaging section, which made me really happy. He's a helluva nice guy, and he saved my life once. Call me a sentimental fool, but he's earned a place in my heart (joke) and my undying gratitude. So, he was only doing his job... that's OK, I can still unashamedly worship the ground that he walks on.

It's a beautiful day, but I have to go to bed. I tried to get out of working tonight, but no go... no coverage. So I'll go in at 22:00 instead of 19:00... a few more hours of sleep.

And, fool that I am, I volunteered to work Wednesday and Thursday nights... my opposite number (the other night tech) lost her grandmother and needs some time off. So I do a good deed and get paid for it. Best of both worlds.

O'yeah, except for the fact that I have to work. O'well...

I got copies of the images from the scan, and I will scan them and put them up sometime in the near future...

I didn't get much in the way of sleep yesterday, so I'm really zonked... and, on top of that, I didn't get to have any coffee or caffeinated stuff all night. How do people live what don't drink coffee? Damn, it's hard. I think that I need to find out, though... normally, I'm pretty wired (thusly, most likely, part of the arrhythmia problems...) and without coffee, I'm unwired. Flat. Sleepy. Discombobulated.

I did have a cup after seeing the doc, though, but I limited myself to one... need to sleep.

O, and one of the techs had brought in some home-made chocolate chip and pecan cookies... I ate about a dozen of those with the coffee.

OK... off to bed now. After I read my mail, anyway. 224 messages... I won't read them all... the Linux list is home to some pretty prolific posters...

Thanx for being here!
