Well, a not-so-boring night. Not real bad, but still some light running was involved. Even so, my feet aren't really doing that bad, but my legs are...
Had a lady come in, pretty banged up by her husband beating on her. For the fifth time. I don't understand.
And an 83-year-old fellow that needed to have a CT done, because he was having symptoms indicative of an aneurysm. He told me that yeah, he really wanted to spend a few more years with his wife, but he wasn't going to have any operations, nor was he going to have any x-rays. Give him some pills and send him home.
The doc talked with him, then with him and his wife and daughter, but it was no-go. So he went home. I kinda figgered that we'd see him back, one way or the other, but he'd not shown up by the time that I left.
Hell, at 83, you should be able to make your own decisions about how you want to die, or live, for that matter.
The night before, a lady brought her cancer-ridden husband in, he was 70. We really couldn't do anything for him, but she didn't want him dying in her house. I don't really know much more about the situation, but that sounds pretty heartless to me. O'well, I'm not involved, and there may be a lot of things that I don't know...
My buddy Steve has talked me into applying for a position at Allen Press, in Lawrence... so I'm trying to do a resume. I haven't done one of those... well, I've never really done one. I guess it's time, huh. I'll put it on-line, too... it'll be here (that's here if that didn't work...)when I get it done. I need to go over there Tuesday AM, which doesn't give me much time. Suggestions are welcome, like I said, first time...
Time for bed now. Start them twelves tonight...
