I ITCH!
All OVER!
I have hives. As I mentioned, they itch. And they hurt when I scratch them. I went out in the pouring rain to get some Benadryl, but that hasn't seemed to do any good... on the other hand, If I hadn't, they might be covering my entire body. Right now, they're limited to my back, my arms and the inside of my thighs. O'yeah, and my lower lip.
They aren't like any hives that I've ever had before, either... they're mostly sub dermal... just big itchy lumps under my skin. The largest is probably about 10cm in diameter.
I called the doctor's office about 90 minutes ago, they were supposed to call me back, but they haven't yet. And I'm going crazy.
I think that I might have some internally, too... I'm having some abdominal pain, kinda like itching guts. I put myself on the ECG machine downstairs, just to check and make sure that it wasn't weird coronary symptoms, and it was normal for me.
I'm gonna give them another ten minutes and call them back. The doctor, not the pain.
I went to bed about 22:30 last night... I did get a coupla hours of sleep yesterday afternoon, but it was hard. I got up this morning with Karen, but I decided to go back to bed after she left. Shortly after that, I started with the stomach pain and discovered that I had welts on my shoulders.
I thought at first that I had been mosquito-bit, but then a few more welts evidenced themselves and I knew that wasn't it.
17:42...
My upper lip is puffed up now. I feel like I've been to the dentist or something... I've also got one at the base of my spine... the crack of my ass. That feels weird.
I've been trying to call Mom... Enid was hit with a tornado last night, but from what I heard, it was a coupla miles from her house. I keep getting a busy signal, probably the lines are down. I'm sure that she's OK, we would've heard something by now.
The meds are making me very, very sleepy, so I think that's what I'll do, even though it's really early...
The doc's office called back finally... got a script for Atarax. Karen came home and went to the drugstore and I took one... I can take another in eight hours. Itching is worse, though, and it's been a half-hour... long enough to start working.
