It was a long night again, but that was OK, it was the last one for a week. And I really didn't have to work too hard. Actually, this whole rotation has been pretty easy, all things considered.
Boy, do I ever have big plans for this week. Finish up the kitchen. Get the server going. Rest my feet... rest my brain. Catch up on my email... If you're waiting for something from me, I'm sorry, I'll be getting to it really soon, I hope. Damn, I just remembered, I need to come up with some survey questions for Ryan at The Diarist... I told him I'd get them done a week ago, and I've had a complete creative block on it. I need to start thinking.
O'wait, I was going to rest my brain a little bit. I can't do both, and I can't do the latter before I do the former... gee, this thinking gets confusing sometimes.
Legs are still tired and sore, even though it was an easy night. Maybe these legs are just too old... I'm afraid that's what the doc is gonna say. I don't want him to say that.
I want to have something curable.
Yeah, the fountain of youth. I recently saw a joke that went, " We don't need a fountain of youth, we need a fountain of SMART!" and I wholly agree.
I think that I'll be smart and post this up and go to sleep until Karen gets home.
We did have a code red trauma come in at 06:30, though, and I stayed over until 07:30 with that. It was a single-car accident, the guy was trapped in the car from about 02:00 until about 05:00, and he was really cold. Aside from some facial lacerations, he'll be OK, though. Lotsa ETOH on-board, but he was alert and cooperative. Pretty good trauma patient.
