I stayed up way late last night, hoping to get a head start on my turn-around, but it didn't work out that way... I went to bed about 03:00 and got up at 10:30... about five hours short of what I was hoping for. O'well, nothing is easy...

I'm getting closer to the server being ready, and getting rather anxious for it, too... right now, I'm using Outlook Express for mail, and it's difficult... I had Outlook set up to filter things for me, and I'm used to things being in their own little boxes, not everything being in the in-box.

This whole thing is cramping my computing style fiercely. I want to get it taken care of, and every day I'm getting closer and closer... and more impatient. Being impatient makes me nervous and itchy, I wish that I wouldn't do that.

JD and I went out to Sams and I bought Karen a planter stand that I'd looked at a coupla weeks ago... it matches her baker's rack, kinda. Also got toilet paper and sandwich stuff and milk. Those boys sure do eat a lot...

Karen got home and she liked her plant stand... the boys and I had put it together and left it outside for her to see. It might wind up inside, y' never know about these things with Karen.

Then Karen told me that she had made plans with Matt to go out tonight. Well, the boys were both going to Lawrence... JD is working security at a concert, and Tyler's going along for the ride... so I would be left home alone. So I had Karen break her date with Matt and go out with me instead. We went to a local steak house... Karen bought this Taste of the Town dealie that lets you eat two-for-one at a lot of local places... and we had a really good meal. Fried chicken livers for an appetizer, then I had the Filet Mignon and karen had a shish-kabob, both excellent. This place might be a good substitute for The North Star, which has gone very far downhill...

We went by Walgreens on the way home, and Karen got some reading glasses, and I got a new pair. She's been borrowing mine for a while now, and I was getting tired of it.

Plans for tonight... not much. I will probably stay up pretty late, then get up for a doctor appointment at 08:30 in the morning, then come home and go back to sleep. I will have plenty to do to keep me occupied tonight... besides working on the server, I could hang the fan and the light in the kitchen, or do any of the hundred other projects that I have going on around here... need to get some more painting done, too, and some more sheet-rocking. It will never end... nor would I want it to.

More tomorrow...

Thanx for being here!
