It's quiet here now... a welcome change. Lacee and Patrick are staying the night... Kim's off in Las Vegas and I don't know what Steve's doing, but we have the kids.

Crummy night's sleep last night... I was up from 02:00 to 04:00 and watched it snow for a while... about three inches, when we were supposed to get a light dusting. It was mostly melted by tonight, though, and we're supposed to be getting some more, but it looks like it's heading more southerly.

So I got up about 08:00, feeling like I could sleep another six hours or so, but I knew that I had to pick Lacee up at 11:30 from school, so I'd better stay up...

And she was happy to see me, and the first thing she wanted to do was pick up JD and Tyler and go to McDonalds, so that's what we did.

And do you think that I could get a lick of work out of either of those guys? No Way! Lacee has them tied around her little finger too... my plan originally was that I would play with Lacee while the boys worked... but why would Lacee want to play with an old man when there are two goodlooking young men there?

So went the afternoon. Karen got home about 17:00, having had a headache all day, a mild one, thankfully. She has some pills that she takes when she feels a migraine coming on, and up until now they've worked pretty well... but this one snuck up on her while she was sleeping and bit her on the ass. So she turned in pretty early, and the kids are out on the couch being relatively quiet.

And I had a frustrating day with the computer. The Idiot Linux was a 1996 version, and the X11 didn't recognize my video setup, and the whole thing turned out useless. And now I'm having about the same problems with the RedHat version. I damned near got it once and then I blew it. Ah, well, I'm learning something new every day on the damned thing. Just a matter of time.

Weird... sometimes I think that I've got this computer thing down pretty well, then other times I wish that I'd never got started on them. I should be doing a lot more fishing, I think. Well, not right now, but you know what I mean.
