I did get a good long nap this afternoon, so I should be ready for the three-day work-week.

I had a weird dream... I was going to be working for the Utah Highway Patrol, but I had to appear to die first. One of those dreams that was ultimately logical at the time, but makes no sense at all when you awake.

I woke up last night about 03:00 and stayed up until about 09:00, mostly playing on this machine. Not very productively, either.

I did figger out yesterday what I was doing wrong with the network... I thought that my hub was auto-sensing, but it isn't. The box on the shelf below it was, though... so I have to do the fastethernet all the way, with no slow machines on it at all. I went ahead and bought another card for the soon-to-be-delivered 300 machine, and it almost works on the 586-133 machine.

And the Compaq is having problems... it's locked up three or four times, and it appears to be a hardware problem. I don't like the sound of that... it has also frozen on boot-up, while checking the extended memory and while doing the scandisk. JD had it freeze while he was writing a letter (that he didn't save first...) I'm afraid that its' days are numbered, just like the rest of us.

Work tonight. I'm not looking forward to it, but it's only three nights. Then another seven off... then 7on/7off for the rest of my life...

Better get a shower and shave and get ready now.
