Well, I made it until a little past 19:00 last night... a 26-hour span of up-time. Hardly a record.
Luckily, I wasn't going for a record. Those days are over.
I got a call from Herman yesterday afternoon... he had acquired a new motherboard and was having trouble with it, so I helped him out with putting WIN95 on it. We got it up and going, but after I had gone to bed Karen told me that he had called, he had trouble with it after he got home. I just called him and he's coming over after work to pick up a boot disk to access his CD drive. The wonders of WIN95 will never cease...
I got up this morning a little after Karen did, having slept about eleven hours. I feel great, except for my right leg and foot. I'm afraid that I'm once again overlooking the obvious... or maybe not-so-obvious... fact that it might be, again, a circulatory problem. I guess I'll make an appointment with the doc this afternoon...
Denial, that's the ticket. Shit does go away sometimes, given enough time. Muscles get sore and heal slowly... maybe I'll wait until tomorrow.
O'yeah, I got the camera set up again, finally...
And it's a beautiful day here in Topeka... not conducive at all to working on plumbing. However, it is the plumbing that needs to be worked on, and there will be many more beautiful days to come...
More later, after I put on my plumber's hat...
The plumber's hat is hung up... we had a relatively sucessful plumbing day. Well, we got the problem fixed, anyway, and didn't have to call a real plumber.
We wound up having to break the 2 1/2" cast iron pipe, and it was completely jammed up with... gunk. I had planned on replacing the whole thing, but we just put in a new plastic right angle joint and joined it with rubber clamped joiners to the old stuff after we'd cleaned it out both ways. Nasty job, but JD and Tyler did well...
At the present time, we're hooking up JD's computer to the network... which still isn't working on the Linux system... I haven't even played with it yet. We're having to re-load the system on his machine, since we lost the CD drive some way or another...
More fun and games tomorrow...
After Karen left, I started working on my Evidence of Continuing Education credits. I accessed the site and put in the answers to about ten quizzes that I had finished, filled out the paperwork and discovered that I needed three more credits, so I read those articles and did the quizzes, and found out that I was three hours over. I'd missed counting my CPR re-certification. O'well, I'm just smarter than I need to be... not.
