A fun and busy day.
Well, OK, it wasn't very fun at all.

The first thing that I had to do was go to Linda's funeral. And I didn't want to... so I didn't. And I've been kicking myself ever since.

So I decided to re-arrange the computer room, make room for the Linux system. Built a shelf. Moved stuff around. Sweated, cussed.

It was another beautiful day, so I opened up the windows and turned on the attic fan. Nice. Not so much sweat, still cussing though.

Went to Best Buy, got a HD and the ethernet starter kit. Came home, ate a peanut butter sandwich and continued building and re-arranging stuff.

Then... on to the computers. Put the network card into the Compaq. Something wrong, it kept re-booting. Re-did everything, all OK.

Went to the old machine, started on it. Put the HD in. Tried installing WIN98, just wanted to get the network going so I could play with it.

That was about 17:00. I'm still trying to install WIN98. It doesn't like old machines, and I'm beginning to not like them either.

Back to the re-arranging... I did have the table-top (an old door, natch) setting on a file cabinet on one end, and it was too high. So I built some legs, and it feels much more comfortable now.

So, it was a pretty productive day. I think that I'll stay up all night playing. Get stuff working, etc. Try to segue on in to the work-week, coming up too soon.

I got a call from JD tonight, they will be coming up on Wednesday, hopefully he's got his truck working...

More tomorrow...

Thanx for being here!
