My Plan For The Day: sleeping.

I just have to go to work anyway, not like I'm doing anything important...
I decided to buy Mom's computer from TigerDirect, an on-line store which has gotten a lot of raves.
My body is very sore from working in the crawl space yesterday, especially my legs and back. I'm glad that's behind me... well, OK, my back is always behind me, but my legs seldom are...

I must admit, I had thoughts about giving mom my system and getting me a new one... but she really wants a new one. I guess that I'll wait until the taxes get back and decide what I'm gonna do. I'm starting to feel the need for speed... and a 19" monitor, too.
Well, it's getting late, I need to trot along to work now. More tomorrow...
What I did: tried to sleep.

Not from me. When I went to check out, they put a $100 + shipping & handling charge on the order, so I cancelled it. I can get about the same system for the same price at Best Buy and not pay for shipping/handling at all.
Karen and I just got back... we had to go out and eat because there is nothing in the house to eat. We went to tha Cracker Barrel and had very good and pretty pricey cheeseburgers. After that I persuaded her to go with me to Best Buy, where I found a computer for $449 and a 15" monitor for $119. With the exception of the monitor, the basic system is pretty damned good... better'n this old Compaq, anyway. Right now, Mom has a 486-66 with a 14" monitor (that heats up and quits working) so I think that she'll be tickled pink with this system.
