Karen and I had a wonderful weekend in Kansas City. The weather was atrocious but it didn't really matter... we got to spend some time together.

We had some unpleasant things to talk about, things that have been looming for months now... and we got those cleared up on the way to KC. And it was clear sailing after that.

We went out to eat three times, and every time we got good service and good food... not the usual culinary experience that we're used to, unfortunately.

Karen got to sleep late this morning, but I was up at 05:00 again. Waiting for Karen to awaken, I switched on the TV (we got a suite (free!)) in the other room and made tea. I ran across a channel I'd not discovered before... BGTV. Better Homes and Gardens, maybe it was... anyway, they had all sorts of tips on repairing and remodeling. And the first show I watched... was on dry wall finishing.

And I found out where I'd been messing up. But I'm not gonna tell, because I feel so stupid about it.

So... I'm gonna give it another try.

Super bowl XXXIII. I couldn't help watching, and I'm kinda glad of the way that it turned out. I guess.

Karen and I spent a lot of time "shopping"... I'm looking around for a computer for mom and there were two or three other things that we wanted to check out while we were in KC. This morning, we wound up in a place called Bed, Bath and More or something like that. It was a really neat store, and we got lots of ideas for the kitchen, and we bought some stuff, too, but nothing big. I was really disappointed because they had a very limited selection of water-bed sheets. We've been looking for a new set, but we want something with 200+ threads, whatever that means... and we haven't been to the right place yet.

Anyway, Karen told me that I was a pretty good shopper this weekend. I'm not really sure if that's a compliment or not, but it was a pretty unusual statement, coming from her.

I've suddenly got a real bad case of just plain tard, I think that I'll go to bed now. Lotsa work to get done tomorrow, including doing the income taxes. Yep, Karen had her W-2 in her purse...

Thanx for being here!
