I've spent most of the day working on the archives... I'm up November 1997 now.

That opening sentence was easy. I just changed the "March" to "November" and there it was!

The main problem is that I've been reading the entries... and I've realized that I'm really doing what I set out to do... explain Doug to the world.

I've written a lot of drivel, a lot of "laundry lists" but there are, infrequent as they might be, some pretty good thoughts in there, if I do say so myself.

But, in the end, the real meaning is... it's fun. I don't want to forget that, and I don't want anyone who reads this forget that either.

So it was a pretty do-nothing day, as far as actually accomplishing anything real goes. Karen thawed a steak for 19990117supper and as it was cooking on the grill, I took the trash out... and I was entranced by the smell wafting out of the vent to the Jenn-Aire. Our neighbors are getting some benefit out of the grill, too...

I got up way too early again, about 06:00, and it started freezing rain/drizzle shortly after, but it soon turned into rain and then fizzled out around noon. It turned out to be a pretty nice day, probably got up to 50F or so.

After supper, I asked Karen if she wanted to watch Last Man Standing, and she said OK... but after about a half-hour she decided to go watch something else, so I watched the rest of it by myself. I haven't seen a lot of Bruce Willis flicks, but I thought it was pretty entertaining, albeit rather bloody.

And I'm really tired of this keyboard and this computer in general and... well, just real tired, suddenly, so I think that I'll just go to bed now.

Thanx for being here!
