So.
Happy New Year.
Karen and I managed to stay awake until about 00:30 last night... watched the ball drop, listened to Dick Clark. He may still look the same, but I think that he's getting stupider.

I got up about 05:30, there was no snow on the ground. It started lightly snowing/sleeting/raining about 06:00; it can't really make up it's mind yet.

I installed PS 5.0 (uhhh... a xmas present?) and it is one cool program. I also downloaded a link checker and ran it on nilknarf.net and the results were impressive. Lotsa screwed up links, but, overall, less than 3% of the internal links were screwed. About 15% of the external ones were incorrect, though, but there's not much that I can do about that. This program is a helluva tool, though.

So, it'll probably be a month before I can get them all correct... that is, if I work diligently on it, which I probably won't do...

I'm also getting a copy of P*ser (for xmas...), that should be interesting to check out.

yes, that is a turtle... Yeah, that is a turtle on my head. The day of the turtle. Or maybe the week or the year, who knows. I might just stick my head in my shell for the whole year. Or maybe I'll just continue being slow. Or maybe there's abso-fucking-lutely no meaning attached to the fact that I have a toy turtle on my head at all.

O'yeah, it's Lacee's turtle. I just borrowed it.

The weather seems to have decided... freezing rain. Looks like about a quarter-inch right now. Makes a real nice undercoating for the snow that will follow, huh. I just hope it starts snowing soon... freezing rain has a tendency to break trees and powerlines and... well, you know. It's the shits.

It is fun to drive on, though, if you don't have to go anywhere.

Which reminds me... a coupla weeks ago, or maybe less... ahh, who cares when... it was kinda slick, and Karen and I were in the truck, coming home from eating out somewhere, and we had to go to Walgreens on the way home.

The Walgreens sits next to a vacant building that used to be a Venture store, and before that a Woolco store. Anyway, big, vacant store = big, vacant parking lot... so I started doing doughnuts and scared the crap outa Karen.

About 30 years ago, I did the same thing with my wife's (at the time) VW bug.

No, I'll probably never grow up. What's the point? That was fun!

The freezing rain is sleet, now, with some snow mixed in. The little pellets are bouncing, like a miniature hailstorm. An occasional snowflake is knocked out of its downward trajectory by a little iceball... they jerk sideways, since it's really hard to hit a snowflake dead center when you're an ice pellet.

I like weather. It's never boring. Well, when it's boring, I find something else to do. Like watch the weather channel...

Damndamndamn!
So, I made this vow to keep this site simple, didn't I? Very light on graphics and other design factors, right?

So... what the hell am I doing with PS5.0? Playing with it... and doing very, very neat things. Easily doing very neat things.

I guess I'll just have to do another site, one that's heavy into grafix...

Nah... I'll just play.

20:02...
And I have been playing! P*ser... a Beautiful Nude Women that I can control... it's just too much for my heart. Nevermind that I do a poor job of controlling her... unlike real life, I will get better at it.

Karen and I went out for a while today, in spite of the freezing rain and snow... the Subaru does really well on the ice. Plus, as I told Karen, I'm a really really good driver. Sure, snicker all you want, she did too. So I tried to do some doughnuts to shut her up... but the 4WD kicked in, and doughnuts weren't done.

On our way home, we stopped by the store and picked up stuff for chili, which I just finished making. Well, it won't be finished until tomorrow, as far as being really good. It'll last us through the weekend...

Well, I'm gonna play some more, then hit the sack. It's been a long day, I got up way too early again.

More tomorrow...

Thanx for being here!
