Let's see... where to begin...
O'yeah! At the beginning...
First off, merry xmas.

OK, that's over with...

I got up around 17:00 yesterday, and found that the grandkids and GED (Karen's ex-husband) were here. Preparations for the evening were in full swing...

So, I hid for most of the evening. Well, I didn't really hide, but I did what I usually do... spent time on this machine. I did socialize quite a bit, too.

The high point of the evening was the present-opening, as usual. I think that everyone was happy, with the exception of myself, naturally, because I have made it a point to not be happy on xmas eve... just on general principles.

And then, the food... I made a ham sandwich, but there were plenty of other goodies around.

And then I went to work a little early, thinking to send someone home who wanted to go. However, everyone there was getting time-and-a-half, and reluctant to cut their time short...

And, again, the evening part of the night was pretty good. It started getting hairy a little later, and I was running full bore by 07:00, but I managed to get out of there by 07:30 anyway.

I had the doc look at my ringworm on my leg which, despite a twice-daily dose of medication, has not only refused to go away, but is thriving and spreading. She gave me some induatrial-strength fungicide, hopefully it will take care of the problem.

I took a shower before I left last night, and when I got out, it was reported that the sewer downstairs was overflowing... again. As I walked out the door, my parting comment was, "Nobody run any water down any drains or flush any stools!" I'm pretty sure that the party broke up fairly quickly after that... there was a lot of beer being consumed. I'm sure that the guys would just go out on the back deck and hang it out, but I don't think that the girls would...

Well, maybe they would, too. Y'never can tell about a beer-drinking girl...

So, this morning after I picked up my script from Walgreens, I went down in the basement to survey the damage... and the overflow is gone. So the sewer is just running really slowly, and not jammed up completely. Possible, taking a shower was enough to overflow it. Anyhoo, I put some lye down the stool, and changed toilet paper brands... Karen had bought some really nice, heavy-duty, tough but soft toilet paper, and I think that might have something to do with the problem, since it started about that time...

And I got tired, but I decided to do this anyway, and now it's done.

Good night.

Thanx for being here!
