Well, I was able, along with a whole bunch of other people, to observe a historic event: the vote to impeach Bill Clinton, President of the United States.

I can't figger out why the committee put in the two articles that failed. Were they just stupid? Ah, that's a rhetorical question... of course they are.

I forgot to mention yesterday that I finally fixed the muffler on the truck... all it took was a coupla bolts and some baling wire. Yes, it's real bailing wire... I've had it around for a while. Actually, that wasn't yesterday, it was a coupla days ago.

Karen went out to lunch with an old friend of hers, and when she came back she was all enthusiastic about some bar stools that she'd seen in Pier One... very expensive, of course.

So we went out and looked at them, and I was less than impressed. For what they wanted for them, they were a total rip-off. Just my opinion, of course... but some people will pay four times what something is worth if it's in an upscale store. I'm not one of them, however.

We also looked at phones at Circuit City, since it was right across from Pier One. I really want to get a phone that does everything that we can leave in the bar/kitchen area, and some of them are really pretty neat... cordless, caller ID on the handset, speakerphone, answering machine... the problem with having all of that in one machine is... if one function goes haywire, you really lose it all.

Karens' kids are all coming over tonight to decorate the tree, and I think that Tyler is gonna stick around too. Woo-woo! A xmas party!
