This has occurred over the last coupla days... since I got booted back onto the queue for Open Pages by the Mighty Kymmer.
Y'see, my javascript thingie wasn't working. And it broke the ring.
So I got rid of it.
Thus the revelation:
No, I don't want to be an internet guru.
I want to be...
an internet Personality!
Y'see, personalities don't necessarily have to be really smart or know everything about a particular subject... they can know just enough about everything to get themselves in trouble. In short, they can be themselves.
And, to the best of my knowledge, the pay is just about the same. I don't anticipate taking a cut, anyway.
But... back to the point. Yes, there is a point. This is it:
Nilknarf: Doug's days and nights... is ending.
One thousand days is enough.
There will, of course, be a new journal... new format, new everything. And the archives will stay intact, for those who might care.
I don't need to know how to do javascript... all I need to know is that it exists.
And I'm not a graphic artiste...
And... well, I'm not really a writer, either, but that's what people come here for... and that's what they'll get.
Text... and tables, of course. I need to retain some design-type tools...
OK, enough of that.
Last night wasn't bad at all. Some busy parts, but, all in all, a good night. Nothing really interesting, mostly really nice people to x-ray.
And, since I didn't have to work very hard, my knee hardly hurt at all. I like that.
More tomorrow....

Gurus, by definition, need to know a lot of stuff... and knowing stuff is, ultimately, work. Even if it's fun work, it takes time and concentration.
So the only graphics will be photos.
