Crappy Sunday.

Didn't get much done.

Spent the day pouting....

Snow.

Chiefs lost (again). Not that they were expected to win, but they came pretty damned close.

Kansas State lost yesterday. Bam... no national championship.

I don't really give a shit anyway... but I would've if they'd have won.

Fair-weather fan, if even a fan at all.

Got the truck stuck in the mud this morning. Hub deep. Had to get it towed out. This was right in front of the house, on the other side of the street. I'd parked in the right-of-way between the street and the sidewalk. The construction guys evidently didn't pack the dirt very well, if at all. It rained this morning, and washed the dirt right out from under the wheels.

The guy in the tow truck was impressed. It takes a lot to impress a tow-truck guy.

Baby-sitting... Karen and Kim went to the store. I had to beat on the grandkids... Patrick only once, Lacee three times. She was testing me... how far could she go? Well, she found out. Not as far as she wanted to go, or even as far as she went.

We reached an understanding... don't mess with grandpa. He is a believer in corporal punishment. Not to the point of abuse, of course. That isn't a fine line, it's a really thick line. A swat on the butt makes a kid pay attention, and sometimes nothing else will.

Another lousy night sleeping, too. Don't know why. Bad dreams, not really nightmares. Just kinda dull, depressing dreams... plodding along, yawning in the faces of the monsters, putting one foot dully in front of the other. Boring... too damned much like being awake to be entertaining.

I like for my dreams to be at least entertaining. Running from the monsters, falling, flying, being rolled over by monstrous logs or pipes or whatever, ground up, crushed by walls closing in... adrenalin-pumping fun. Dull dreams... what worse could there be?

Maybe things will get better. I certainly hope so. The precipitation has stopped, anyway...

Thanx for being here!
