Journal Entry

Monday, 30 November, 1998 15:59

Where to start? Well, OK, yesterday...
Sunday morning, 00:30... I smoked what I believe was my last cigarette.

The rest of the night was uneventful, except that I felt like writing and I didn't have any disks and I couldn't find any anywhere in the department.

And even though it was a really pud night, I was very tired when I got home... I went right to bed and to sleep. I slept until about 17:00.

Since it was JDs last evening with us, we went out to eat, having a pleasant meal at Applebees. By the time we got back, I only had time for a very short entry... so I posted it and went to work. Not smoking has still not bothered me.

And again, last night was not very busy, lotsa time to sit around and think about not smoking. And it still isn't bothering me.

I think that my head is finally in the right place for it. After all of these years.

JD was planning on leaving this morning around 08:00, but he had not gotten much sleep, and I persuaded him to wait until he had slept more. We said our goodbys and I went to bed and so did he. I don't know what time he finally left.

I miss him already. But he will be moving back here on a permanent basis in a couple of months, and I'm really happy about that.

We are continuing to have simply beautiful weather here, highs in the 60s, and it will be like that through next Saturday, anyway. It sure doesn't seem like late November in Kansas!

Two more twelves to work, then off another week... planning, once again, on getting a lot done on the kitchen, and I will probably do some window replacements in the living room too. I'm anxious to get that done before it gets really cold, which it might do just any day now...

More tomorrow...

Thanx for being here!
