Journal Entry

Too much too early, again.

I got up about 04:00 and Tyler was still up, so we started working. I got some more wiring done, and we finished the north wall with sheet rock; unfortunately, we're gonna run outa sheet rock before we run outa ceiling and wall.

And it's raining again... so we'll use what we have and hope it stops raining before we need to go get some more. We do have enough to do the hard part of the ceiling, anyway, after I get the extra wood up there to hang it.

Speaking of which... the extra wood, I mean... I was cutting several 2X4s down this morning and the blade damned nearly came off of my saw. I must've not got it securely fastened when I put it on. Scary thought, though... those blades go really fast and they're really sharp!

And speaking of churches... there are too damned many of them. Of course, for me, one would be too many... but it seems like there's one on every block.

I don't actively resent churches... in general, they're nice pieces of architecture... but rather the people who build them and who attend them and especially those who lead them...

Aw, c'mon... I haven't had an atheistic rant for a while here, have I? I been letting it build up...

Most of the time, here in these United States of America, fraud is a crime. Taking money under false pretenses is a crime. So why isn't every damned preacher and priest in jail? They are selling something that isn't there... heaven. They can't prove it's there, but they'll tell you how to get there... and it always involves passing the money through their hands. Their sticky little hands...

God. What a concept. If there was a god, there would be no need for religion... if there wasn't a god, there would be no need for religion.

If there were a god, it would let you know about it directly. Why go through these middle-men with their muddled stories? They can't get it right. There are too many of them, too many stories. If there were a god, it wouldn't be too busy to contact us each and every one directly. What's time to a god? Nothing, absolutely nothing. Omnipotent, omnipresent, but it can't let us know what it wants? How fucking ridiculous.

If there were no god, though, it would be very profitable for someone to convince other people that there were... and to make threats to make them believe. And to make it even easier for those who believe to get into heaven, all they have to do is give... more money.

The ultimate threat... eternal pain and suffering.981107.jpg

Frauds. And the fools that they lead. Not that the frauds can't be fools, too... it is entirely possible to fool yourself, or to be fooled and still lead other fools.

All the while disparaging, yea, prosecuting those who are neither fool nor fraud.

Making us pay taxes to support their fucking churches... which are not taxed. They don't even pay for their own entertainment... everyone has to share the load that their religion puts upon society.

But the financial burden is the least of it.

They bring up their kids to be subservient to the same non-existent gods. Subservient... meaning that it is not necessary to do their own thinking, but rely upon other people, who happen to be frauds and fools, to do it for them.

How can one learn logic, when one is taught illogical dogma from the cradle? And how can one live a reasonable life without logic?

The answer: one doesn't.

"Give me your children!" said Hitler... the communists... the church. They know... as the twig is bent, etc etc. They are under the thumb of whatever illogical ideology their captors want them to be...

Subservient. Unthinking, obedient. Good followers.

Subservient.

Be that, if you want to be. But know this: I think that you're either a fool or a fraud or both.

And you're keeping the world from having a wonderful future.

Thanx for being here!
