Journal Entry

Well, crap. I told a lie yesterday, inadvertently... I said that we had all of the insulating done, what I meant was that we had all of the sidewall insulation done. Today we spent most of the day doing the ceiling, which slopes about 30 degrees, going from 12 feet to 8 feet at the sidewall. As I had mentioned before, not all of the joists were either parallel or 24 inches on center, so it was harder than it should've been. We wound up stringing wire perpendicular to the joists to hold the insulation in.

But we got it done, then we installed the vapor barrier. That's not a lot of fun, either... Tyler was on the ladder and I was on the ground trying to help him manage a 20X10-foot piece of 4ml black plastic sheeting. He wound up working a lot harder than I did today...

It's strange to think that I'll be going back to work Wednesday night... it hasn't seemed like it's been that long. Usually, I'm kinda looking forward to getting back to work... this time I wish that I had another three weeks.

I'm going back and forth between the Chief's game on TV and the computer tonight, even though I probably should just go to bed. I'm dragging again...

My hands look like a working-man's hands, and they hurt. Cuts, scrapes, splinters... and dry to boot. Every muscle in my body had made its presence known... and it all feels great!

Another subject entirely... I broke a tooth last night after I uploaded yesterdays entry. So it's off to the dentist I go tomorrow at 11:00 to get yet another damned crown. Our insurance only pays half for crowns, so there's another $250 down the drain.

This has been a good year for our dentists... I've had two crowns, and Karen had to have a crown and a rebuilt bridge to the tune of about $3500; Luckily, most of that got picked up by the insurance...

Going to be another busy day tomorrow. We're going to try to get the sheet-rocking done, if at all possible, so we're getting up early.

Thanx for being here!
