Journal Entry
It was a semi-productive day. What I mean is, we didn't get started until about 15:00...
I couldn't sleep again last night, up until about 03:30 or so, but I got up at 09:00 anyway... messed around a while, drank some coffee and developed a headache and went back to bed about 10:30 and slept until 14:30.
I'd tried half-heartedly to get Tyler up earlier when I was awake, but I didn't pursue it... and he got up right before I got up the second time.
But we pretty much got right to work then. We cut some door pieces to complete the floor and we were almost done with that when my buddy Herman came. He changed his clothes and we decided to put the skylight in.
As you may know, I am very afraid of heights, have been most of my life. So having Herm over to help was a real lifesaver. So Herman and Tyler did the roof work, and I stayed on the ground passing stuff up to them. It worked out really well for me, anyway.
It was dark and they still weren't finished, so I passed up the trouble light and they finished putting the flashing on. We still need to do the calking but there's no hurry on that, no rain in the forecast!
Tomorrow is going to be a different story. I'm going to get up at 09:00 and get started, and I'm not gonna give up on Tyler so quickly, either. He'll be up at 09:00 too!
Even though I didn't really work very long or very hard, I'm very tired and very sore. I'm gonna get to bed real soon.
