Journal Entry

Sunday, 27 September, 1998 10:33

Well, the short nap didn't work yesterday... so I got up and started working. Then I woke Tyler up and get him working too. Then about 14:00, I sat down and ate... and I couldn't get up hardly. I felt like I had hit a brick wall... so I took a shower and went to bed.

We did get an awfully lot done yesterday, though. Most of the stuff that goes down in the basement is now down in the basement, and that's quite an accomplishment.

I got up about 21:00 last night, and Drew was here with gramma... Andy and Karla are moving into their new house this weekend, and Drew was getting cranky, so Karen brought him home with her for a while. He wanted to go back to his new house and his new room, though, so his visit didn't last too long.

So I went back to bed and slept poorly until about 06:30 this morning; got up, made coffee and read the paper. Karen and I are going for a walk, then I'm gonna get started working again. Karen bought a kitchen book yesterday, and we need to look through that and make some decisions.

And I've got a friend at work who wants to give me some windows, but he's out of town until Monday, so we have to wait to make any window decisions until then... it's hard to pass up free windows, though. I just hope that we can use them...

16:48...
Lazy day for me so far, hardly got any work done at all. Karen and I did go for a walk, about three miles over to Andy's new house and back, and my legs gave me no trouble whatsoever. I'm pretty happy about that; I guess that I've got them built up enough again to actually walk at a normal pace.

When we got home, we watched the Chief's game, which they barely won. And I told Tyler that I thought that he could make audio CDs on the CD burner from his four-track tape; I gave hime the books and he managed to get one of his songs on a CD. He's quite happy about that. So it's gonna be even harder to get any work out of him...

Not that it's been that hard to get work out of him... it's me that is the problem. Because after I got done watching the game, I decided that this would be a day of rest. Just because. Because I felt like it. Because I'm tard. Just because.

More tomorrow...

Thanx for being here!
