Today is not a time for writing or thinking, but for action! Yes, I'm going to really start working today on the kitchen... well, on the garage. I guess that it can't be called a kitchen until it really is one, in about a month or two.
Last night was again pretty pud. Steady stream of patients, but nothing very hard or very interesting. Except that.... I hate whiney people! Look, dammit, everyone has to go through some pain in this life, just fucking accept it! Whining elicits no sympathy from anyone, especially those of us who've seen real pain and/or felt real pain...
Today we will get all of the stuff out of the garage and strip the inside walls of their covering... some sort of fiber insulation board. Then I need to reinforce the roof structure... presently it has two 2X4s at about the level that I want to have the ceiling. I need to remove those, but first I need to figger out exactly how I'm going to built the ceiling and where the skylight is going to go, then I can put the struts where I need them.
Next stage is figgering out exactly where to put the windows and how big they are going to be. Oops, I'm getting ahead of myself. Next is taking the garage door down, along with the opener, and storing them someplace... in the basement, I guess.
At any rate, my work is cut out for me... so I think that I'll go take a short nap, then get up about noon and start working.
