Journal Entry

Whooah! I just slept eighteen hours! I must be getting prepared for the work week or something. I didn't think that I was that tired, but I must've been.

It's a beautiful day today, maybe 70 F, sun shining, no rain in the immediate forecast. I was up for a while this morning before Karen went to work, it was 55F, a bit chilly. Really nice weather. I love the fall... crisp mornings, cool days... makes me think that I really live someplace neat.

Well, I guess I do... sometimes. Kansas is not that bad, all in all.

This was not a weekend in which I accomplished anything at all. It seems that I have a lot of weekends like that. My accomplishments seem to come in spurts, few and far between. I would really like to get on a different track someway or another, maybe get a little bit done on a daily basis, but that just doesn't seem to be the way I operate. I have to sit back for a while, think about a project, think some more, think some more, then I can get started. Once I get started, I don't have any trouble. Well, except for stopping. I hate to stop in the middle of a project, because I know how hard it is to get me started again.

Karen just got home, she rode with Kim... 980922.jpgshe'd locked her keys in the car, so I took her down to BC/BS to unlock it. On the way home, I stopped by Walgreens to get a prescription. The lady in line in front of me was in tears... they were having trouble with her check, it seems that someone else has the same account number, and keeps emptying their account out and then passing bad checks. They finally let her have her prescription, though.

I always feel bad when there is a line getting prescriptions... the little old ladies who are paying $100, $200 for their live-saving prescriptions... you know that money is probably half of their social security checks... I almost feel guilty only paying $15 for mine. Someday I'll be there myself, if I live that long.

Back to work tonight. Only one more week, then some vacation time. Well, maybe not, I better check the schedule.

More tomorrow...

Thanx for being here!
