Journal Entry

I did sleep nine hours last night, I guess that orderal did tire me out. I feel pretty good this morning, except for the places where they put holes in me.

The Starr report. What a bunch of bullshit. Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country.

Consensual sex is not a crime. Consensual sex is nobody's business but the participants. Keeping these two facts in mind, how could lying about consensual sex be a crime? Even to a federal judge, who should not have allowed any questions about a perfectly legal matter in the first place?

O'right, it's morally wrong. Morals are essentially determined by what the majority of the members of a society believe to be morally wrong. People have to have their heads buried in the sand to believe that our society disapproves more than mildly of consensual sex outside of marriage.

The moral ideal is one woman, one man, living happily forever after. And just how often does that happen? Yeah, everyone knows the stats on divorces.

There don't appear to be any stats on unfaithful wives or husbands, though. Wonder why? Do you reckon it's because everyone knows that everyone else would lie about it?

Back to the nitty-gritty. Statement: Clinton's lying has made this country ashamed of him. Fact: Most people don't give a shit about Clinton's sex life or the fact that he lies about it. Why would they? They would do the same thing themselves, and quite possibly do on a daily basis.

What they care about is how the country is being run, about the economy, about taxes, about wars, about terrorists. And the majority are happy about Clinton's leadership.

The fact that a subordinate such as Monica L can sweet-talk herself into Clinton's pants should neither surprise nor outrage anybody.

And it is still a mystery to me (not!) that an investigation that started off looking into "possible wrongdoings" about a real-estate deal in Arkansas can morph into persecuting the president about his sex life. Does anyone not believe that the agenda was to GET CLINTON? on whatever charges by any means available?

So far, those means have been paying former Arkansas Troopers for lying about Clinton, for one thing. But... did Starr investigate this? No, that was none of his business... not pertinent to what he was doing at all. Those means have included intimidating potential witnesses, done directly by Ken Starr and his minions.

For six years Clinton's political enemies have been trying to get something on him, and they have failed miserably. So they find out that he's been fucking someone other than his wife... BINGO!

Either Clinton is pretty clean, or they're awfully stupid, especially for people who think they're so damned smart. Or both.

I must admit that I didn't vote for Clinton; but I hate to see him being pilloried for something that is so minor and matters so little in the general scheme of things...

Thanx for being here!
