Dammit, I just hate this.
I stayed up most of the night last night so I could sleep today, and can I sleep today? Not on your life.
I get so damned tired of being me sometimes. This too shall pass. Instead of not sleeping, one day I won't wake up...
This is Patrick and Lacee's first day of school, and boy were they ever excited. Patrick, of course, trying his boy-best not to show it, but Lacee had no such inhibitions... this is her very first day to go to kindergarten. And she was pretty damned cute, if I do say so myself.
Karen was going to take Lacee while Kim took Patrick, and I had decided to go with Karen and Lacee, but plans got changed and they all went together and I got left out, as so often happens.
Back to sleeping... or rather, what I was doing while I wasn't... I baked some whole wheat bread last night, I haven't done that for quite a while; I'd forgotten how delicious warm bread is when saturated with fat (butter). I need to do that more often.
I also downloaded a number of java applets and some more javascripts. I will freely intersperce them in this journal in the coming days or weeks...
Most of my time, however, has been occupied with trying to sleep. I got some melatonin yesterday, and it still doesn't work. Plus I've been reading a pretty cool SF book by Robert Niven... so I read until I can't keep the old eyes open, then I almost fall asleep... then BAM! I'm wide awake again.
I've got time for one 
more try, though. O'yeah, today's photo shows a couple of JD's pictures in the background. I really need to get some good pictures of those, I really do like them. Jeez, I miss him and Tyler.
