Journal Entry
Most of the time, maybe 98% of the time, I feel like I'm of just a little higher intelligence than my fellow man. This is not one of those times. In fact, I feel downright stupid.
The worse part is, I felt smart about the decision that I made that I now feel stupid about.
And I'm a day late on my turn-around now.
Yep... there has to be a turn-around... I'm working days next week. As in, from 07:00 to 17:30. Learning more about CT.
Not working my usual nights, no.
I realized this shortly after I went to bed during a thunderstorm this morning about 05:00. Almost asleep, I was. BAM! Realization set in very suddenly.
I went to sleep anyway, but I awoke suddenly about 07:00 thinking about it. So I got up, and here I am.
Back to yesterday... I went to sleep about 13:30 and didn't get up until 20:30, feeling very rested. And smart, as I mentioned above.
I worked some more on my javascript, getting more and more discouraged. I think that I need to buy a book. Read a bunch of journals. I called Joe at the hospital, he had brought some software that I had loaned him in to work, and I decided to go pick it up. Joe had told me that they weren't very busy at all, so I decided to have lunch there too, since there isn't anything in the refrigerator that I wanted to eat. Joe also loaned me a tape, Stuff they can't show on TV or something like that. Weird stuff, entertaining in a very gross way. Violent death and mutimation caught on tape. Pretty easy to understand why it never made it to TV. However, for a guy who's hung around emergency rooms most of his life, not really very disturbing. But gross, nonetheless.
Joe had asked me to get MSN's 800- number for him, and when I called him back they were getting slaughtered with MVAs coming in the door. It had been pretty quiet earlier.
I'm glad that I'm not working.
Karen took Lacee to Wichita with her, Lacee always enjoys going down there, she is the center of attention (of course). Karen's mom seems to be getting worse gradually (Alzheimers) and Karen wants to spend as much time with her as she can.
They won't be home until this afternoon sometime, and I'm gonna try to get a nap in before that, so maybe I can get turned around today... with any luck.
The thunderstorm dropped a couple inches of rain on us. We've had our share of rain and more this year. I feel sorry for Texas and Oklahoma!
