Current Journal Entry

Thursday, 18 June, 1998 08:47

Gee, yesterday's entry stirred up some responses... even though I said that I wasn't a chauvinist some people thought I Sounded a whole lot like a chauvinist. I'm gonna have to quit doing that, I guess.

Occasionally, people take me seriously. Sometimes I really mean to be taken seriously... and these times don't necessarily coincide. O'well, y' can't have everything...

Another not-very-bad night at the hospital. Lotta routine stuff mostly, and I had a lot of early AM portables, but aside from that, not bad. We were supposed to get some huge thunderstorms, but everything went north of Topeka, as usual, dammit.

And it never got below 80 degrees F, and the humidity is around 88. Hot, muggy, uncomfortable. Windy, too.980618.jpg

I didn't get to sleep until after 13:00 yesterday but I slept until 19:30; I don't feel too bad, but I will get to bed earlier today.

When I got home today, Kim's car was still here. I didn't think too much of it and went about my business. A little while ago the phone rang, the caller-id said unknown so I didn't answer it. It rang again about 15 minutes later and I thought what-the-hell and picked it up. It was Karen (why BC/BS has their ID blocked I don't know) and she said that Kim's car had been broken into. Got the stereo and about 20 CDs.

Man this is getting tiresome.

I checked the other vehicles and they were OK, I don't know why they picked on Kim. Karen had left the caddie out in the driveway and it wasn't touched either.

Liquidweb is not impressing me at all. I still cannot FTP to them without getting an error, and the mail forwarding is still not working. And I can't hear back from them because they didn't know that the forwarders weren't working until I emailed them this morning. And it'll probably be much later before they read that...

So I will continue using the http://www.networksplus.net/nilknarf site for a mirror... although if it were a true mirror, it would show nothing...

Thanx for being here!
